Some of the most beautiful and emotional weddings I have attended have taken place in childhood homes, family-owned land and other places that are near and dear to my couple’s hearts. Several of my brides have shared a few tips and tricks that helped them to achieve their dream backyard wedding. Below are some tips to help you know how to plan an elegant backyard wedding.
Hire an Event Coordinator
Wedding Planners are incredibly helpful as they have lots of experience in networking with other incredible vendors and making your dreams come to life. These Event Coordinators know exactly who to contact, what to order, when to arrive and where to go. This definitely helps to take the stress off you and allows you to sit back, and watch your dreams unfold as you enjoy your big day!
Don’t use plastic chairs
It’s no secret that wood is more high-end than plastic. Don’t borrow camping chairs or use plastic folding chairs for your guest seating. Make sure to rent folding wooden chairs to elevate your rows of guest seating.
Block out any neighboring/undesired backdrops
The use of white shear fabric works great as a backdrop to help block out any neighboring houses or unwanted scenic backgrounds. The thin fabric also works great as a photo backdrop for your ceremony and family pictures!
Have your reception catered
Since you were able to save money on the venue, utilize some of your wedding day funds on catering the reception.
